The Friends of BCA (FoBCA) is a voluntary group of concerned citizens whose mission it is to contribute to seeing that the BCA is protected and utilised to the benefit of the general public now and for the future. They are affiliated to WESSA Western Cape.

The FoBCA is similar to the Friends of Rietvlei (who did sterling work in saving the present vlei from being developed), and other similar Friends organisations throughout South Africa.
