There is always something happening at the Playhouse - and not only for actors and actresses: we are always in need of help with set-building, lighting, sound, costumes, front of house duties and assistance at the bar.

We stage major productions several times a year, and host visiting performers or other societies from time to time.

There are regular Social Evenings, normally on the first Friday of every month. These are an ideal opportunity for aspiring actors, actresses and directors to take part in play readings and other entertainments.

Members of our friendly, vibrant society receive a regular newsletter with news, chat, and information on activities. Membership fees are R78 a year or R39 a year for students and senior citizens (plus a once-off R20 joining fee). The fees are pro-rated through the membership year. Most of our members are active participants, but others join just as social members.
